Some Ancient Egyptians wore henna tattoos just like we do today! Although, many didn’t wear them because they were said “not to be worn by noblewomen.” Another connection is headbands. Ancient Egyptian women wore a version of a headband called a diadem. We like to wear wigs just to dress up but Ancient Egyptians also wore wigs… everyday. Unlike us, they shaved their hair to prevent lice and be cool in the heat so they made wigs of real hair or fiber.
Egyptian women usually wore a sheath dress which was a tight, white dress made of linen. Rich Egyptians would always wear jewelry for luck and style. For example, if you got a necklace with the symbol for Heh, god of eternity, you were being wished a long and happy live. Egyptians were very focused on style, especially the women. Rich women would buy all the accessories they could to show off that they were wealthy. Wealthy women wore sandals made of leather. Poorer people made themselves sandals made of grass or papyrus. People who could not afford a tailor made they're own clothes. Workers usually wore loincloths or tunic dresses.
Egyptian men wore tunics most of time. Tunics were like skirts. Men also wore wigs but not as much. Men either wore wigs or just went bald. Men also wore jewelry. A wesekh collar was very popular for both men and women.

The kids usually did not wear clothes until they were 6-10 but when they did they would usually dress like their parents. Kids would shave all of their hair except one part which they put in a ponytail and called “the sidelock of youth.”
